Tennis star Justine Henin serves up champagne
Multiple grand slam winner Justine Henin christened a trailing suction hopper dredger called 'Congo River' owned by the Deme company by breaking the traditional champagne bottle over the bow. The Belgian star saw the ship launch into the water at the IHC Merwede shipyard at Capelle aan den Ijssel in the Netherlands on 21 January 2011.
The 'Congo River' is 168 metres long, 38 metres wide and crammed with state-of-the-art technology, making it one of the top-performing and most economical dredgers in today's market.
Guava commissioned Veldeman to provide the temporary accommodation for the christening of the 'Congo River'. The accommodation included a guest registration area, an area for the academic session, a covered terrace for the christening ceremony, the reception area and an impressive roof for the dinner on the beach.
It was a terrific event, masterfully orchestrated by Guava and safely accommodated by Veldeman.
